T-Birds left wing has 13 points in 18 games this season
KENT, November 13, 2012 — Seattle Thunderbirds general manager Russ Farwell today announced Alexander Delnov will play for Team Russia at the Subway Super Series on Wednesday and Thursday.
“Alex has just been added to the Russian team,” said Farwell. “We have been told that he is being evaluated as a potential candidate for the Russian World Junior Team. He played very well at the end of our recent road trip and we wish him the best of luck.”
Team Russia will take on Team WHL in games five and six of the series played on Wednesday in Vancouver, British Columbia, and on Thursday in Victoria, British Columbia. The first two games of the series were hosted by the QMJHL with the OHL hosting games three and four.
This season Delnov has played in 18 games and has seven goals and six assists for 13 points.
Delnov was the eighth overall pick in the first round of the 2012 CHL Import Draft by the T-Birds. He was a fourth round pick, 114th overall, of the Florida Panthers at the 2012 NHL Draft.
Delnov played for Mytischi Atlanty in the Russian Junior league last season. He appeared in 47 games and had 11 goals and 11 assists for 22 points with 16 penalty minutes. He represented Russia at the U-18 World Championships in April. He appeared in six games and had a goal and two assists with 12 penalty minutes.

The T-Birds face the Medicine Hat Tigers on Friday at 7:35pm at ShoWare Center. The Spokane Chiefs are at ShoWare Center on Saturday at 7:05pm.
T-Birds single game tickets for the 2012-13 season are available online at the T-Birds website and at the ShoWare Center box office. The ShoWare Center Box Office is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday game days at 10 a.m. and Sunday game days at noon.
